This Savage manufactured second variation receiver is for the model 1903 slide action rimfire rifle and is in good condition exhibiting a brown patina with some scattered spots of rust and traces of original blue finish in protected areas. This is the only part on the model 1903 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transfered through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.   (file photos)

Note: Second variation receivers will have a lower tang that has a slight downward curve at the rearmost point and the inner left side wall will be cut for the early variation ejector which is sold separately.
